Taqueria Del Sol
|
Legendary Mexican restaurant jumped on the Atlanta scene back in 2002 but hasn't slowed down since-to go here you gotta know the rules. For lunch, go early, like 11:00am...after 11:30am it is a 30-40 minute line. If it is just you or you and a friend, sit at the bar and skip the line. Avoid big parties-this is not your place. No to go-don't even bother, it's a pain. But, once you learn the rules you can enjoy the experience, and the food-everything is awesome.

Bacchanalia

Always voted one of the top five restaurants in Atlanta and for great reasons. One of the first endeavors by Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, is a fine dining experience. Prix-fixe menu at lunch and dinner. Bacchanalia comes with its sister store, Star Provisions where you can peruse the exotic and ultra-gourmet foods and accessories for sale to the public-the cheese room is a must.

Quinones at Bacchanalia

Unbelievable experience and a masterpiece. Dine nightly with selections chosen daily and picked from visionary owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison personal farm, or local only farmers. One of the top three finest dining experiences in the city, and my personal favorite. But this experience doesn't come cheap.

Carvers Country Kitchen

Only open for lunch. By far the greatest soul food place since Thelma's left us. Located on west side at 1118 West Marietta Street. Get there before noon or wait until 12:30-I suggest getting there early to secure your seat and your meal. Then, make sure to crab the cheese biscuit-awesome. By far the best experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time.

Great location, cool design, very quaint and great place for the first date but I was not overly impressed with the food but not enough to not post it on the site because of the rest fo the wonderful attributes. Start at the bar and on a nice night grab a table on the rear patio-make sure your date has a jacket these days.

If you live in Atlanta and have not checked out any of the Figos, this should be your weekend...Great date place, typically hidden away and cool atmosphere, plus it is cheap so you don't feel like you are breaking the bank ordering a bottle of wine...My special of the week: Tuscan Steak Salad
Thinly sliced broiled sirloin steak on a bed of romaine salad with red onions, cherry tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese and red wine dressing
$ 8
