Bars in Midtown/Downtown

Luckie Food Lounge

404.525.Luck - By far, hands down the tightest designed restaurant/club in Atlanta since Halo opened five years ago. This is a must see and a must experience from the food to the live music every night from Tuesday through Saturday, but get ready to throw down-entrees from $20-30 and sandwiches from $10-18. But ideal for the first date, for any mood you (or she) is in: this place is broken up into areas for whatever you feel like, eating in a booth, chilling at the 30 seat bar, heading to the back to the stage or DJ booth or staring into some of the coolest aquariums in the rear at the sushi bar.

Side Bar

404.588.1850. Sidebar is Downtown's neighborhood Bar-be prepared to meet everyone in the place-which is rare in the ATL...We hung out here one night after a Thrashers game and it was not packed but we met more people and ran up a $100 tab after being there for 3 hours. The jukebox keeps the place fun and pool tables in the back.

Twisted Taco

Ultimate bar scene, complete with lack of bathrooms. If you are in the mood for some hardcore drinking in Midtown you've come to the right place, good crowd, front and back patios on cool nights, good size bar on the first floor. Karaoke upstairs on Friday and Saturday (don't worry, you can drink 'em talented). Twisted Taco is a great little venue located within walking distance to all of the clubs in Midtown. Perfect for late food just off Crescent St.
