Restaurants in Buckhead

Eclipse Di Luna

Date Place of the Week By far the best tapas bar in Atlanta and I am not always a supporter of tapas but Eclipse is awesome. One of the best bar/restaurant scenes in the city. Located at the end of Miami Circle-when you think you have missed it, keep going, and then go some more-it is all the way past the Fay Gold gallery. The atmosphere is electric and the bar is a great place to sit and wait for your date. Any night of the week is a great scene.

Dantanna's

The best sports bar in Atlanta with a one of the best beef and seafood menus and deliveries. Dantanna's is always a guarantee. Sometimes the service isn't the best or most attentive but the food takes over and there is hardly ever a wait.

Anis Cafe & Bistro

Great little authentic french cuisine with two great dining rooms, one an enclosed patio, the other a quaint and perfect little room. The bar is also a great place to stop in and have a quiet drink and meet any locals sitting at the bar. Definitely a must check out. I suggest meeting a new/blind date there for the first time, hit the bar and if things go well, grab a table.

Taurus

Great consistent venue hidden away on the third floor across from Wolfgang Puck's but boasts a great vibe, fantastic menu and courteous waitstaff not so ordinary here in Atlanta. Thursday nights come out for latin bands out on the patio. Restaurant open for lunch and dinner.

Shipfeifer

All I can say is order the french fries, Cottage or Curly with the Feta Cheese dip-out of this world. Great fresh greek salads and gyros..Hidden along the strip just north of midtown between two other little gems, Huey's and R.Thomas.

Genki Yakitori Sushi Bar

This is the Buckhead Sushi Location to take your date. Sit out on the patio and enjoy the Buckhead evening in an urban context. We recommend the Genki Tuna Roll (a little spicy, so get your sauce on the side if you are sensitive). Our drink of choice is the cold-unfilitered Saki and an Edamame

Buckhead Diner

Called "Atlanta's quintessential spot" by food and wine magazine and I will agree, it is a walk back in time to a finer Atlanta with the best service in town and a fantastic menu. A must for lunch or late dinner-open until Midnight Mon-Sat but try to miss prime time Friday and Saturday night as it can be packed.

Treehouse

Great little hidden restaurant which is top rated for its food and its bar scene, especially Thursday and Friday happy hours. Limited seating so not great for a date but great for friends and socializing. Reasonable menu that includes sandwiches and higher-class bar food.

New York Prime

The finest steak restaurant in Atlanta but be ready to dish out for it. Overall wonderful decor and great bar, except for the occasional cigar smoker clearing out the corner. Most nights they walk a very large lobster around, typically 6+ pounds and quite an amazing event-but I would never suggest a lobster over 3lbs.

Soliel

Great spot right outside the noise of Buckhead with a cool patio for cool nights and mello interior. Great place for a sit down dinner and great wine list. Wonderful first date place cause it is easy to get to but not quieter than Nava or Chops.

Corner Cafe /Buckhead Bread Company

Perhaps the best breakfast in the city Corner Cafe/ Buckhead Bread Company won't ever disappoint. Great service and outstanding food make this a sure bet. If you had a rough Saturday night, you can nurse yourself into a decent state of mind with an Sunday AM Mimosa. Everything on the menu is outstanding, just make sure to ask for a booth, its worth the extra 10 minutes. Or better yet hold out for the outdoor patio.
